Serving the transgenic animal industry and core facilities for years, we have developed a highly efficient program for tissue or cultured cell DNA/RNA extraction. We understand the timing and cost associated with animal maintenance, therefore strive to provide the fastest turn around and most accurate extraction and genotyping services to the community. Our kits and robotic instrumentation are configured specifically for high throughput processing of large number of samples. Commonly extracted samples include mouse or rat tail snips, ear punches, distal toe clips, livestock ear punches, hair follicles, and fish fin clips, although we can customize our chemistry so any other sample types can be processed efficiently. It is also important to note that we have the option to maximally recover total nucleic acids for a sample, including both genomic and viral DNA and RNA. This enables not only standard genotyping, but also quantitative detection of viruses and bacteria.

Expected Yield: The yield varies and is dependent on many factors such as the age of the animal and the type of tissue used. Below is a guideline:
