| Expected Yield: Although DNA yield is dependent on the amount of nucleated cells (leukocytes in human, for example) in the sample, but typically up to 500 µg DNA can be obtained from 10 mL fresh whole blood. At the other end of the spectrum, a single 6 mm punch of FTA blood card can typically yield up to 2 µg DNA.
